Adobe Acrobat XI Pro - text box will not change size when i change the font size? I know how to change the font and how to make different defaults, that's not the issue - the issue is when I change the font size, the text box doesn't change - example - I used to have everything at size 18 - one day I needed to put a long message on the PDF and changed the font size to 12, the text box stayed the same as it was still size 18 and I can't get the box to go into the corner to input more text. It also directs the text to the bottom of the box so if I try to make the box smaller the text disappears.any suggestions?
Holly Milnes. The text box size should change when you make the font size larger.
But it does not change when you make the font size smaller. You should however be able to resize the text box after you change the content (and potentially the font size). The key here is to first click outside of the text box after you make a change in the content. This will deselect the content editing mode, and you should be able to select the frame of the text box, and then to place your mouse cursor over one of the corners to make the drag handles show up. I don't understand your last sentence. Do you have a screen shot of what it looks like? Is it possible that there are return characters at the beginning of your text?
BTW: You are not using a 'text box' annotation, you are using the 'Add text comment' function. The two are different (you will find the 'text box' in the 'Drawing Markup' section). Is this happening with all PDF files, or just one file, or a few files from the same source? I've tried to reproduce your problem with two different versions of Acrobat XI Pro (one on Windows, the other one on a Mac), but without success - unless I add blank lines before the actual text: Karl Heinz Kremer PDF Acrobatics Without a Net PDF Software Development, Training and More.
